Kids of today's generation are so techie already!

My lil cousins, nicole and louise, aged 8 and 9, already know how to use Yahoo Messenger. How cool is that? Poor me, the first time I was introduce to the world wide web was during my first year in college. That was 10 years ago! but hey, we had computer subjects in highschool way back then. This even made me think that my daughter might turn out too geeky at an early age since we (her parents) can't live without a computer and never offline. Whew! future kids might already sound robotic when we reach year 2020!!!
That's my lil cuz ,Louise, chatting... complete with smileys and a webcam!

On the 35th week of my pregancy

We went for another pre-natal checkup yesterday and according to my doctor, my baby's size is already the size of a full-term baby but I can't give birth yet until after 3 weeks. I can now reallly feel my baby's weight since it's getting more and more uncomfortable and heavy inside. I'm finding it difficult to move around especially when sleeping. I am now eager for my pregnancy to be over but hey, I still need to wait for several weeks before I can see my baby. I just wish that everything will be safe..

GlobeReward: I got rewarded!

I am not a believer of text promos until I got a message from Globe which is the network where I am subscribed to. I am only a prepaid user. I'm not also a religious texter since I don't forward quoted messages or jokes, especially those messages that curse you if you don't forward them. Anyway, I got this message which I thought was a scam:

until I checked my account balance...and to my surprise, it was actually true! I know I only had more than 3 pesos left and I never had free txt messages since I only load P100 most of the time.

Thanks Globe!

e.l.f. All Over Color Stick

I like wearing make up but I don't wanna look like I'm going to a sagala or santacruzan. If I just want to add some color to my face and not look like a dead person, I put on a blush. Blush is my favorite make-up but I don't want to be looking like -somebody just hit me on the face. I found this product when I was out shopping for make up. Im not really into brands and expensive makeups coz for me it's not the brand that will make you look good, it's how you wear them. I found this brand called e.l.f which stands for "eyes lips face". Not only that they have a wide range of nice products but also they're cheap. Check out eyeslipsface.com to find out how much they cost. I was even surprised to see that it is an international brand because their products are just about the same price as for local brands or even lower.

I bought..

Here's what it looked liked as a blush..Since it's not powdery, it kinda shines and since I chose a pink shade it looks natural. I know you can hardly notice it but in person, it's better.Maybe I'm not just a good photog or maybe I had to hire a better looking model ^_^
and here I used it as a lipstick and an eye shadow ..
Aside from the all over colorstick that I bought from elf, I also bought a bronzer to try. They call it healthy glow bronzing powder

Both products are for P129 each, available at SM department store

All-Purpose Wallet

I finally found a replacement to my old wallet. My old wallet was black and bulky and there's not so much room for coins. This one I just bought is beige, which means I can easily find it inside my bag because it has a lighter color (most bags have dark lining inside), it has a lot more room for coins, which means I don't have to carry a separate coin purse and of course there are compartments for bills and cards. here..check it out.

Maybelline Shine Free Face Powder

Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine free face powder, P199

I'm a fan of face powder and I use it as an everyday make-up if there's no special occasion to attend to. I just bought this face poweder from Maybelline and it's cheap for only P199. It comes in 3 shades: white, light , and natural to suit your skin type.

Samba: cheaper alternative to Ferrero Rocher

Since I have been craving lately for chocolates, I grabbed a pack of miniature Nestle Crunch and Kisses Almonds and my husband decided to grabbed a box of Samba to try it when we passed by at SM Supermarket on our way home yesterday.

If you are a fan of Ferrero Rocher but you always think twice just to buy it for yourself or if you don't have a suitor that can afford to give you one, try Samba milk chocolate. It's the cheaper alternative to Ferrero Rocher. Trust me, it's worth trying.

This is something I'm looking forward of wearing.. very simple yet fab.

Smart Mom's Guide to Pregnancy and Baby's First Year

Being the first time mom that I am, all the mommies that I know of tend to give me advises that sometimes I really cannot swallow them all. With their different opinions and perspectives, sometimes it's overwhelming and I don't even know who to listen to anymore. I am not a superstitious believer either so it's really annoying for me hearing all those pamahiins. I really don't believe in them because I am the person who always needs scienific explanation on anything why it needs to be done and if I'm not satisfied then who cares.

I have this co-worker that has just given birth about 3 months ago and her baby spent one week in the hospital just because her mother-in-law had her baby drink her own urine. It infected the baby's blood and made my co-worker spent P41,000 to get her baby out of the dilemma. My co-worker was so pissed when she found out that the reason why her in-law did it was because of some superstitious belief that a baby will grow strong if she had a taste of her own urine. Her in-law even mentioned that her husband had the same experience when he was a baby but nothing bad happened to him. That's something I don't want to happen to my baby that's why I tried to find a book that can guide me during my pregnancy up to my baby's 1st year.

I found this book at a Mini Stop convenience store. It's called "Smart Mom's Guide to Pregnancy and Baby's First Year". It has a label of "Pinoy Essential" which indicates that it is based on our culture which is also great since most pregnancy books that you can find in bookstores are written based in foreign culture. In this book you'll find answers to questions such as "paglilihi" and how it is related to how the baby's going to look like when she comes out, even tips on how to hire a yaya, how to breastfeed if you are a working mom, all superstitious beliefs and pamahiins and dealing with needs and issues relevant to the Filipino family and culture that confuses most moms-to-be. So for all Pinay moms out there, this one is a must read.

Nivea Baby: Skin Care for my Newborn

Shopping and preparing for a newborn's grooming needs is often as exciting as having a baby. Expectant moms like me are all over the baby section, going gaga over infant clothes, shoes and every baby product we set our eyes on especially for first time parents like me which I admit sometimes I don't even pay attention to price tag at all. That is because baby products are so cute and hard to resist and as for me since I am having a girl, there's a wide variety of designs to choose from but let's not forget that a baby doesn't need much except simple clothes to stay warm and diapers to stay dry and buy only the essentials.

Next to godliness, it's beauty that I want for my little princess. So among other things, I want to keep my baby's skin absolutely flawless as early as possible, not only for the sake of appearance but for good health as well. Clean and flawless skin is also a reflection of how baby's are cared for. having a flawless skin will also help build my baby's self confidence when she grows up. So I choose Nivea Baby Products for my baby's skin care needs. Quoting from their website:

"Nivea baby is a skin care program tailored to the more demanding needs of baby's sensitive skin"

Milk Lotion, 47.50
Head-to-Toe Wash,109.75
Caring Oil, 43.00
Cream Soap, 38.75

If you are an expectant mom like me, you can try to visit Nivea baby website for everything you'll need to know about their products or if you want a more detailed information about its ingredients and caring tips as well.

Claw Vending Machine

Have you ever won something from a claw vending machine?

I know everybody knows what a claw vending machine is only that they don't know what it's called. I mean...definitely you've seen one but you have no knowledge on what it's called. see picture below to check out what I'm talking a bout

My husband and I went to Glorietta this afternoon and passed by a claw vending machine and decided to try our luck. For me it's luck but as for my husband, it's his ability that made us won a toy. We got an elmo stuffed key chain on our first token (not bad huh?). My husband is good at it. I remember giving away most of what we had won to some of my inaanak last Christmas as a gift. (tipid diba? )

Intro

34 weeks pregnant and had nothing to do, why not create a blog that will keep me busy during these boring days.. these days where I have so many things in mind having this life growing inside me.

"baby inside" - that's my huge tummy

I chose the title "life, love, and everything nice" , because here in this little space in the cyberworld, I want to talk about my simple life, things and people I love and everything nice I can think of that I would like to share to the world.
